Croatia Travel Information

I was in Croatia where I was born with my son and his wife and two sweet little grandsons. We were in Zagreb by my older daughter and my junger dauhter too.

Visited Makarsk, Split, Trogir, Dubrovnik, Plitvice. Amazing experience, fantastic sceneries, marvellous land."After Creation God distributed lands - Englishman got England, Frenchman - France, German - Germany, etc. But Croat was forgotten. Croat complained sorrowfully. Then God said: "Calm down! You'll get your country - I'll give you the land I have prepared for Myself!"

Really loved croatia - visited the Elaphite isles - completely rural and unspoilt - beautiful

It was one of my favorite place's we went on our cruise and we went to 14 different ports on this cruise it was a 17 day cruise.

Fascinating nature,the blue Adriatic sea and Croatian hospitality. Was really good!

Visited Virovitica, Split, Dubrovnik, & Medjugorje (B&H).

The beaches and serenity were unreal. Trip across the bay to the mainland and bicycling the island were great times!

I had heard a lot about Croatia before I went there. It had seemed to me as too boring country especially after the trip to Thailand. But as soon as I came there, I changed my opinion at once. Everything in this country is fantastic: nature, air, people, cities, food... Everything is changed in yourself when you're there.

I fell in love with the City from the moment I saw it, and had there been a way I could have stayed, I would have never left. My dream would be to own one of the buildings in Old Town, to walk the narrow passageways, to see the old wells through the arches as the shadows cross them, to sit alongside the sea, maybe someday. The town is called Tisno, located in Dalmacia - just beautiful! I have been to Croatia several times and I like the country a lot. Tisno was one of the best places I have visited there. :-)

Coaching a group of young people with mixed abilities from the UK to participate in a month long youth expedition along the Dalmatian coastline, undertaking an environmental study concerned with domestic waste pollution along the way. It also involved a Yugoslav physiotherapist, a social worker and a special edication teacher.

Having made some contacts with the Yugoslav regional centres for people with disabilities and an organisation similiar to the modern day 'Scope', I was establishing contacts with teachers and therapists for a joint youth adventure to take place the following Spring. In looking back, it's quite amazing and also very sad to reflect on how quickly the country splintered apart into such violent chaos within a matter of a few short years.

School Tour of Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Yugoslavia (yes, it was a long time ago), and Austria.

Also visited Metkovic, Mostar (B&H), Belgrade(SRB) & Novi Sad(SRB).
