General information:
Keep very fit. Life is too short and too interesting to waste time watching sports. Read mostly non-fiction. Write poetry occasionally. Strong interest in the arts, especially theater and film. Liberal to progressive in my beliefs. Savor life's serendipities. Have visited over twenty-five countries and have lived for a time abroad. I particularly enjoy exploring great and historic cities on foot (e. g., Athens, Florence, Paris, Venice, Prague) but have also had some of my most memorable experiences where nature is at its most scenic and sublime. In the summer, when it is typically hot and humid and places are crowded because most people are travelling, I stay close to home and swim laps daily. Spring and Fall are when I travel abroad.
